Hi I am John and being the only male in the family,apart from Copper, it falls to me to lay down a few rules. It may seem that these rules are strict but there are reasons for this;

• They are there for your dogs comfort and well-being.

   

• This is not a kennel, this is our home, and we have neighbors so we must also consider them.

   

NO BARKERS, FIGHTERS, BITERS OR CHEWERS

If your dog is going to be so unhappy that he will constantly bark for you to come and get him then perhaps he would be happier going with you. Someone will be with your dog most of the day, but a fight and subsequent injury can take just a second so we will restrict the size and type of dog we board. No large dogs (30lbs max), even a play fight between a large and small dog can result in injury and no one wants an injured pet. No fighting dogs (pit bulls, bull terriers etc.)All dogs should be as socialized as possible and get on with other dogs or at least please let us know if they are not. When we take our dogs to the enclosed area in the park (October to May), twice a week, we like to let them off the lead to play, and we would like to do the same for your dogs so everyone can get socailized. Our Kitchen chairs are for us to sit on not to be a chew bone for the dogs. We will supply the chew bones unless you tell us not to.

VET'S DETAILS and MEDICATION

We will need to see an up to date record of all injections including rabies as well as addresses and details of your local vetinary office. If you have pet insurance we would like those details too. We can give any normal medication but cannot be responsible for any injections.

FOOD, BEDDING AND TOYS

We ask that you supply your dog’s food, because we feel that if they at least keep to their normal diet, they will settle in quicker. We can supply food for your dog but there will be an extra charge. Please bring your dogs bedding and favorite toy if you want to, but two dogs like nothing better than a game of tug o war so please understand if toys do not come home with them. They are allowed on our bed, couches and chairs to sleep at any time.

All dogs should be at least 9 months old and housebroken; we have a doggy door so everyone can go in and out as they please. If your dog does not have a doggy door at home then I am sure Fluff will show them how to use it. All dogs will be treated the same, what our dogs get so do yours. So we can not guarantee that your dog will not put on weight, if they are on a diet please let us know so I can keep my wife in check.

We would be pleased to have you and your pet visit us before you do any booking, you then can see our house and us, and we can see if everyone gets along. As we never take more than 3 dogs at a time we do get very busy, so please leave enough time to visit before you go away. Despite these rules and regulations you will see we are not so bad and they are to safeguard your dog.
